Gravity

The shadow play on the table and background was interesting to me. I not only had lights on both sides of the subject, but gravity was at work on the thick whitish liquid and not at work on the cup. I thought the viewers could decide on what the liquid is... got milkshake?

Brandied Pears

I painted this by using only 4 mixed colors to keep it simple and a challenge since I like to "niggle" and all the beautiful colors can get muddy. I mixed up a background color, pear color in light, pear color in the middle (shadow), and foreground color and carefully placed those colors throughout the composition.
